New, digital technologies are revolutionising the way companies handle their manufacturing chain, from the customer’s demand to the delivery of the final product. This cross-sector conference, organised in collaboration with FEDIL and the Chamber of Skilled Crafts, will give you an insight into how you can boost the productivity and competitiveness of your company by finding and implementing the digital technologies that will turn your plant into a smart, connected manufacturing.
The term “smart manufacturing” refers to a fully interconnected and flexible physical infrastructure powered by information and technology technologies that uses a constant stream of data to draw insights and adapt to new demands. Going much further than more traditional automation, it connects production units on the shop floor with functions such as product design and the different stakeholders of the supply chain.
A national priority
Supporting the data economy enabled by digitalisation is a Luxembourg priority. The Ministry of the Economy will provide you with an overview of the government’s strategy for a data-driven economy. You will also learn more about the Digital Innovation Hub, a brand new platform aimed at facilitating companies’ digitalisation process.
Concrete use cases
The Smart Manufacturing Conference will showcase concrete examples of how your peers are using digitalisation to enhance aspects such as customer/supplier administration, production planning and optimisation, quality and predictive maintenance. The event will also discuss how to best handle opportunities and societal challenges.
Matchmaking: find skills and technologies
Are you looking for the right technologies and skills to help you succeed with the digitalisation of your operations? Do you have expertise in the field that other companies could benefit from? The conference will include a matchmaking session where you can request meetings with other participants in order to discuss potential partnerships and collaborations.
